The idea
Explore whether interactive fiction can make assessment feel like a meaningful sequence of decisions.
The connection
Writing, interaction and measurement meet here. Narrative choices may create an engaging interface, but the meaning of a score needs its own validation rather than borrowing credibility from the story.
System design
The following structure makes the project concept inspectable and defines the implementation to demonstrate.
What would prove it
First test comprehension and repeatability of the interaction. Any psychometric claim then requires an appropriate study of reliability and validity for the intended population and purpose.
The next complete milestone
A responsible next milestone separates the playable narrative prototype from any validated assessment instrument. Report experimental scores as experimental and avoid using them for consequential decisions without suitable evidence and review.
Project record
A cognitive assessment platform that generates psychometric instruments as interactive fiction — the assessment is a story you make choices in, not a form you fill out.
